Bend-based InvestiPro announced today that it’s closed a seed round of funding from Cascade Angels. Founded by Dana Barbato, the startup provides a cloud-based platform that automates workplace investigations.

Dana has deep experience in human resources, and the software is “designed to simplify and automate workplace investigation from start to finish, it keeps the process timely, consistent, and above all compliant,” according to the news release.

“Ask any HR professional, and they’ll say they dread the term workplace investigation,” Dana says. “InvestiPro transforms those investigations into positive experiences.”

The company launched last year, and now counts clients from small businesses to Fortune 5000 companies. InvestiPro didn’t say how much Cascade Angels invested. It’s the Bend-based angel fund’s 16th investment overall, and third investment in 2017.

“Their platform addresses a complex HR process. We’re also excited to have another Bend-based company in the portfolio,” says Julie Harrelson, Cascade Angels fund manager. The Fund has backed eight Bend startups, InvestiPro included, since 2014.

InvestiPro will use the funds to hire several new sales positions, while continuing to invest in the platform’s technology and marketing. In the meantime, we’ll get the pleasure of seeing Dana pitch on the Bend Venture Conference stage as one of the growth company finalists next month.

Good work and good luck!
