Sometimes someone gets a crazy idea and then that crazy idea becomes the coolest thing ever. That’s the case with the upcoming One Tech Meetup to Rule Them All, presented by the Technology Association of Oregon and hosted by BendTECH. The idea came out of a discussion about how to connect all of the growing tech meetups, find their overlaps and share some resources. The result is a BIG meetup scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 7th.

The event is free and includes free beer, free food and the opportunity to meet lots more tech-minded people, and perhaps discover whole new groups you never knew existed. Each meetup will give a one-minute talk about what they’re about. The featured groups include: Bend WordPress Meetup, Bend Javascript, The Bend Big Picture Book Club, Bend Hackers Guild, Bend Arduino Group, Bend Digital Creators, Bend Office 365 and Sharepoint User Group, Bend User Experience Meetup, Bend Unity3D User Group, Central Oregon Creative Professionals (COPR), Bend Bitcoin Meetup, Bend Perl Meetup, Bend Web Marketing, Homebrew Technology Club of Bend, Bend Web Design and Development, Meteor Bend, Central Oregon Microsoft IT Professionals Meetup, Central Oregon AWS User Group (DevOps), Women in STEAM Central Oregon, Bend Virtual Reality Enthusiasts, FinTech Finance and Technology, ChickTech Central Oregon, Crypto Banking and Financial Engineering, Bend Unreal Engine and Game Development Meetup, Bend SaaS (Software as a Service) Meetup.

Word on the street is that this event is already near capacity. So register soon if you want to meet up with all the meetups.
