The local Technology Association of Oregon STEAM group is hosting a casual mixer this coming Wednesday. Head over to meet some awesome women and hear a presentation by Rita Hansen, CEO of Onboard Dynamics, who will discuss her experience with the STEAM mentorship program.

TAO STEAM is a community organization working together to:

Unify Central Oregon’s STEAM community and tip the scale in favor of a gender-balanced future. We recognize the challenges faced by women in STEAM fields, and believe these can only be tackled by a gender-inclusive, collaborative approach. That’s why we look to partner and collaborate with the community, businesses, organizations and individuals to serve as a resource for learning, growth and outreach, for both women and Central Oregon as a whole.

The group began last year, and members include tech and science professionals, startup founders, educators, and more. The work of TAO STEAM supports creating paths for girls and women interested in STEAM careers, etablishing a platform for connections, resources and opportunities, and enabling ongoing education opportunities for career growth and prosperity.
